Trails everywhere are dynamic and ever-evolving, and the Laura Secord Legacy Trai is no exception.

Please note these RECENT CHANGES to the trajectory of the Laura Secord Legacy Trail, which will soon be reflected in our online maps, GuideTags digital interpretation, and printable PDF trail guide:

  1. NEW STAGE 3 TERMINUS POINT (Niagara College to Marilyn I. Walker Campus of Brock University) – Stage 3 of the Laura Secord Legacy Trail will now end (and Stage 4 will begin) at Mann Raceway Plaza, behind the Marilyn I. Walker campus of Brock University. This new location replaces Rodman Hall, which was the previous Stage 3/4 staging point since the trail’s inception in 2012. We are grateful to the owners of Rodman Hall for facilitating its use as a waypoint since Brock University’s tenure ended there several years ago, and we look forward to our revitalized collaboration with Brock University in hosting the new waypoint at the Marilyn I. Walker campus.
The new terminus of Stage 3 (and start point of Stage 4) of the Laura Secord Legacy Trail is at Mann Raceway Plaza (red pin above), behind the Marilyn I. Walker Campus of Brock University.

There have also been some minor modifications of the trail route at the start of Stage 3, from the Niagara College bus stop to Glendale Avenue.

2. TWO ROUTE OPTIONS ON STAGE 2 (Firemens’ Park to Niagara College) – Stage 2 of the Laura Secord Legacy Trail now offers two route options: a shorter route (6.7 km) from Warner Road to Niagara College which bypasses the Wood End Conservation Area, and a longer alternate route (8.4 km) which goes through the Conservation Area and along part of Niagara College’s Wetland Ridge Side Trail, traversing the talus slopes at the base of the escarpment and passing by the wetland ponds, the WWF Pollinator Garden, and the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Garden before arriving at the Stage 2 terminus at Niagara College.
